Notifications, background tasks, automatic synchronization or alarms do not work correctly for “Abfall App” on Android 8 (“Oreo”)?


  1. Open the “Phone Manager” on your device.
  2. At the bottom left, choose “Battery”.
  3. Tap on “Launch”.
  4. In the bottom half, find “Abfall App”.
  5. Next to “Abfall App”, make sure the switch is turned on, i.e. with its knob or handle at the right.
  6. Tap on “Abfall App” again to turn the switch off, i.e. with its knob or handle to the left.
  7. A window with the title “Manage manually” should appear.
  8. Next to “Auto-launch”, make sure the switch is turned on, i.e. with its knob or handle at the right.
  9. Next to “Secondary launch”, make sure the switch is turned on, i.e. with its knob or handle at the right.
  10. Next to “Run in background”, make sure the switch is turned on, i.e. with its knob or handle at the right.
  11. Tap on “OK”.
  12. Scroll back to the top.
  13. At the top, tap on “Manage batch manually”.
  14. Find “Abfall App” in the list of apps.
  15. Next to “Abfall App”, make sure there are three checkmarks in the checkboxes.
  16. Leave by pressing ○ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  3. If unsure, consider uninstalling the app claiming to “clean” or “boost” your device.
