Notifications, background tasks, automatic synchronization or alarms do not work correctly for “Abfall App” on Android 3 (“Honeycomb”)?


  1. Open the “Settings” of your device.
  2. Choose “Battery & power saving”.
  3. In the upper half, choose “Battery usage”.
  4. Further down, find the section “Battery optimization”.
  5. Choose “Ignore optimizations”.
  6. Find “Abfall App” in the list of apps.
  7. Next to “Abfall App”, make sure that the switch is turned on, i.e. with its knob or handle at the right.
  8. Leave by pressing ⌂ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.
  9. Open “Abfall App” on your device.
  10. Leave by pressing ⌂ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  2. At the top, select “General”.
  3. Choose “Battery”.
  4. Choose “Power saving exclusions”.
  5. Find “Abfall App” in the list of apps.
  6. Next to “Abfall App”, make sure that the switch is turned on, i.e. with its knob or handle at the right.
  7. Leave by pressing ⌂ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.
  8. Open “Abfall App” on your device.
  9. Leave by pressing ⌂ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  3. At the top right, tap on ☰ (three bars) to open the expanded menu.
  4. Next to “Restrict background data”, make sure that the checkmark is removed from the checkbox.

  1. There are many apps on the app store which claim to boost performance, free up space, save battery, or optimize the RAM of your device. However, these apps interfere with other apps, like “Abfall App”, and prevent them from working correctly.
  2. If you have any app like “Clean Master”, “Security Master”, “Task Manager”, “Phone Cleaner”, “Super Cleaner”, “Power Clean”, “DU Cleaner”, “DU Speed Booster”, “CCleaner”, “AVG Cleaner”, “Avast Cleanup” or “Norton Clean”, check that it doesn’t block or terminate “Abfall App”.
  3. If unsure, consider uninstalling the app claiming to “clean” or “boost” your device.

  1. If you’ve made any changes based on the advice above and you’ve adjusted the settings of your device, proceed with the next step. Otherwise, there’s nothing left for you to do.
  2. Restart your device once. You can either choose the “Restart” option directly, if available, or turn off your device, wait a few seconds, and then turn it on again manually.
  3. Open “Abfall App” once on your device – by tapping on “Abfall App” on your home screen or in the list of all apps.
  4. Leave by pressing ⌂ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.
