Notifications, background tasks, automatic synchronization or alarms do not work correctly for “Example App” on your HTC One X?


  1. Open “Boost+” on your device.
  2. Choose “Optimize background apps”.
  3. Choose “Example App” from the list of apps.
  4. Make sure that it says “Off”.
  5. Leave by pressing ⌂ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.
  6. Open “Example App” on your device.
  7. Leave by pressing ⌂ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  1. Open the “Settings” of your device.
  2. Choose “Power”.
  3. Choose “Battery optimization”.
  4. In the drop-down list at the top, switch from “Not optimized” to “All apps”.
  5. Choose “Example App” from the list of apps.
  6. Switch to “Don’t optimize”.
  7. Tap on “Done”.
  8. Leave by pressing ⌂ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.
  9. Open “Example App” on your device.
  10. Leave by pressing ⌂ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  1. Open the “Settings” of your device.

  3. Next to “Power saver”, make sure that the switch is turned off, i.e. with its knob or handle at the left.
  4. Tap on “Power saver”.
  5. Set the threshold to a low battery level so that power saving is not enabled too often or too early.
  6. Leave by pressing ⌂ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.
  7. Open “Example App” on your device.
  8. Leave by pressing ⌂ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  2. Choose “Data usage”.
  3. At the top right, tap on ⋮ (three dots) to open the expanded menu.
  4. Next to “Restrict background data”, make sure that the checkmark is removed from the checkbox.
  5. Leave by pressing ⌂ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  1. There are many apps on the app store which claim to boost performance, free up space, save battery, or optimize the RAM of your device. However, these apps interfere with other apps, like “Example App”, and prevent them from working correctly.
  2. If you have any app like “Clean Master”, “Security Master”, “Task Manager”, “Phone Cleaner”, “Super Cleaner”, “Power Clean”, “DU Cleaner”, “DU Speed Booster”, “CCleaner”, “AVG Cleaner”, “Avast Cleanup” or “Norton Clean”, check that it doesn’t block or terminate “Example App”.
  3. If unsure, consider uninstalling the app claiming to “clean” or “boost” your device.

  1. If you’ve made any changes based on the advice above and you’ve adjusted the settings of your device, proceed with the next step. Otherwise, there’s nothing left for you to do.
  2. Restart your device once. You can either choose the “Restart” option directly, if available, or turn off your device, wait a few seconds, and then turn it on again manually.
  3. Open “Example App” once on your device – by tapping on “Example App” on your home screen or in the list of all apps.
  4. Leave by pressing ⌂ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.
