Notifications, background tasks, automatic synchronization or alarms do not work correctly for “K-9 Mail” on your Honor 6X?


  1. Open the “Phone Manager” on your device.
  2. At the bottom left, choose “Battery”.
  3. Tap on “Close apps on screen lock”.
  4. Find “K-9 Mail” in the list of apps.
  5. Next to “K-9 Mail”, make sure the switch is turned off, i.e. with its knob or handle at the left.
  6. Leave by pressing ○ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  2. Choose “Apps”.
  3. At the bottom, tap on “Settings” (gear icon).
  4. Choose “Special access”.
  5. Tap on “Ignore battery optimization”.

  7. Find “K-9 Mail” in the list of apps.
  8. Tap on “K-9 Mail”.
  9. Select “Allow”.
  10. Tap on “OK”.

  2. If you have any app like “Clean Master”, “Security Master”, “Task Manager”, “Phone Cleaner”, “Super Cleaner”, “Power Clean”, “DU Cleaner”, “DU Speed Booster”, “CCleaner”, “AVG Cleaner”, “Avast Cleanup” or “Norton Clean”, check that it doesn’t block or terminate “K-9 Mail”.
  3. If unsure, consider uninstalling the app claiming to “clean” or “boost” your device.
