Notifications, background tasks, automatic synchronization or alarms do not work correctly for “Threema” on your Samsung Galaxy J2 (2015)?


  1. Open the “Smart Manager” on your device.
  2. At the top left, choose “Battery”.
  3. In the “App optimization” section, choose “Detail”.
  4. At the top, if the switch is turned off, i.e. with its knob or handle at the left, there’s nothing left for you to do. Otherwise, proceed with the next step.
  5. Find “Threema” in the list of apps.
  6. Tap on “Threema”.
  7. Select “Turned off”.
  8. Leave by pressing ○ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  2. Choose “Sounds and notifications”.
  3. At the bottom, tap on “App notifications”.
  4. Find “Threema” in the list of apps.

  3. If unsure, consider uninstalling the app claiming to “clean” or “boost” your device.
