Notifications, background tasks, automatic synchronization or alarms do not work correctly for “Threema” on your Samsung Galaxy J4?


  1. Open the “Settings” of your device.
  2. Choose “Device maintenance”.
  3. At the bottom left, choose “Battery”.
  4. At the very bottom, choose “Unmonitored apps”.
  5. Check if “Threema” is already in the list. If it’s in the list, there’s nothing left for you to do. Otherwise, proceed with the next step.
  6. At the very bottom, tap on “Add apps”.
  7. Find “Threema” in the list of apps.
  8. Put a checkmark into the checkbox next to “Threema”.
  9. At the very top, press “Done”.
  10. Leave by pressing ○ (“Home”) at the bottom of your device.

  1. Open the “Settings” of your device.
  2. Choose “Apps”.
  3. At the top right, tap on ⋮ (three dots) to open the expanded menu.
  4. Tap on “Special access”.

  2. If you have any app like “Clean Master”, “Security Master”, “Task Manager”, “Phone Cleaner”, “Super Cleaner”, “Power Clean”, “DU Cleaner”, “DU Speed Booster”, “CCleaner”, “AVG Cleaner”, “Avast Cleanup” or “Norton Clean”, check that it doesn’t block or terminate “Threema”.
  3. If unsure, consider uninstalling the app claiming to “clean” or “boost” your device.
